Is it possible to find a hottie for a few nights? The clubs, bars?
Is it a workaholic business city, or is it a laid back touristy place?
Any experiences with the women there? |

coming back to Asia?
fukuoka is a strange city. the women there did look better than in tokyo. but impossible to meet. as a city, its more of a tourist-oriented city but mostly set up for japanese tourists.
'happy cock' is the main expat bar.. but when i went there.. it was mostly korean teachers on visa runs.. apparently it gets wild on other days.. but not on any of the 3 nights i was there. i also attempted to bar-hop all around fukuoka.. but never found anything better. well, there was one hip-hop club where everyone looked about 18 and i felt really really strange to disrupt it by peaking through the door.
i've heard that if u live there.. its really good. but i never found out where those people go.. and i never heard of any expats talk about their luck meeting any girl while on a fukuoka visa run either.
fukuoka women look great however. personally, i think you'd have more fun trying to meet them in Tokyo or Osaka. Although Fukuoka does have a beach which is nice - maybe its really populated in summer.. not sure. it was completely empty on my visa run there.. which would have been around March 1st - too cold then. Looked nice though. |

I ended up drinking with a group of five fukuoka girls the night of the Australia-Japan WC game. Had a great night, all university students. Maybe the WC had the desired effect on them!!!! One of them, Akiko walked me back to my hotel at the end of the night too!  |

What do you mean by hottie? If you mean the kind of girl that will have your sausage burning with puss the next day, yeah you can find those I think.
I read in the Asahi Evening News that 60% of the club hotties in Roppongi, Tokyo's "Itaewon" have STDs. This was an estimate based on statistics from a VD clinic that operates in the area. |

Yep, I read an article in the Yomiyuri Shinbun saying only 5~10% of people in Japan use condoms. |

Roppongi is A LOT differnent from Fukuoka however.
For one, its a really visible foreigner area and the women who want to be with them. Foreigners from all over the world - North America, Africa, Latin America, Europe, Russia, you name it. Japanese girls who hangout there, usually have some interest to be there for whatever reason - something about foreigners being there anyways, being a primary reason.
Fukuoka is very Japanese with an extremely large red-light district which is predominately business-oriented for Japanese businessmen and extremely overpriced - loads of $ just to talk to a girl, let alone whatever else. Foreigner bars are fairly non-existant in Fukuoka (the Happy Cock the only one I know, and its predominately - foreigners). Maybe on other days (outside the 3 days I went there), the local Fukuoka Japanese girls might go there looking for a foreigner (much like Rappongi).. but I'm not sure - didn't stay long enough to see that work out like that. |
