So I have noticed that the Korean Job listings are absolutely dominated by Gia consulting and NET Korea. Please list any experiances that you have personally had through them or one that you talk to has had.

They are just recruiters.

Teacher, meet school. School, meet meat. Pay me please. Bye.

Take the introduction, make your best deal. IF no deal, move on.

Don't like them, wait a week.
There will be more ads from more recruiters.

I made a newbie mistake with NETKOREA. I sent a few documents---nothing absolutely vital, but expressed at great expense---to their offices in Korea while they were trying to place me with an English Village. The school kept postponing its opening date, netkorea kept feeding me *beep* and I suspected something fishy. Eventually I was told the school went bankrupt, and wouldn't open until next semester. Of course I didn't receive any documents back, nor did I receive any other messages from them.

But all recruiters are essentially the same. I've had better luck with native English speakers, b/c at least you can communicate with them. I've had lots of conversations like:

Me: In this part of the contract, it says "no weekends." But down here it says that, if I'm asked to work weekends, I'll get paid overtime. So do I work weekends?
Konglish recruiter: No, you don't work weekends. But sometimes you do. Only a little.

My girlfriend and I are currently securing a couples position through Gia, they're really good, other than trying to convince you that most positions are set in stone without any negotiating. For example, we've negotiated from 2.0 to 2.2 million/month and an increase in overtime pay. They'll listen to what you want and look for the best position for you based on your needs. One of them is really friendly, the other a bit standoffish...but that's my view, it could be the reverse for you. We'll see how it goes once we, (if we do), accept a position.
