| Rather like how Koreans talk on the phone. A Korean will state things, a series of facts or observations or intentions, and although they're not really asking you a bunch of questions, you're still supposed to sit there and say "ne... ne.... ne...." like a stupid parrot, and if you don't, they start squawking "Yoboseyo?!! Yoboseyo???!!" as if you'd fallen down dead on the other end of the line or you decided to watch TV instead of listen to them. Quite annoying. I will sometimes not give them that little "ne... ne... ne..." just to exasperate them. |
That's a d*ck move. They say the "ne ne ne" because everybody else says the "ne ne ne" and it's just a social norm. So when you're silent they naturally assume the phone is dead. I mean, that's what I assume. But you think you're somehow so above it all and can't be bothered to speak during the course of what is a conversation. Classic d*ck move! |
Aww, I don't do it that often. Can't I please pull that classic d*ck move once in a while? It helps keep me sane and involved. |

I end all my phone conversations by barking "Classic d*ck move!" and slamming the phone down, so I guess what you do isn't so bad. |

never use the "L" word cause I always use "hate" instead.
It's, hate, you know, hate, all the time! |
that's really funny.
one of my friends did a dissertation and quoted one girl as saying "well, like, at first, i was totally against it, but then, like, you know, whatever."
i thought it dragged the dissertation down, but what do i know? |
