Oh God. My mom makes this. I forget what she calls it. Amazing.
Roast chicken for sure. So easy and makes the whole house smell great for the day.
Home-made pizza for sure. Incredibly easy and so much better than the crap that passes for pizza in Korea. |

I remember what this is like when I lived in Cambodia. Okay okay... here's my top 3 picks:
1) Toll House chocolate chip cookies
2) Brownies made from scratch
3) Good meatloaf or roast (beef or pork)
Hope you enjoy! I remember literally laying awake at night sometimes thinking of things like that. After about 6 months, you really miss what you are used to. |

| I have an oven but don't really have any idea about what to do with it. I would like to make cornbread, biscuits, turkey, ham, and pretty much whatever else. Baked chicken...mmmm... |

I made Swiss steak last night (well, you can make it over the stove, as well- better in the oven, IMO). Made an apple pie in the morning, then a coffee cake, too. Had the damn thing running half the day- it's usually like that at my place. I use my oven all the time.
You can get some frozen pizzas at your local supermarket these days. Chicken fingers or mozzarella sticks are available locally, too. Tater tots or french fries may be available at your local store, too. Costco has fish fingers and quessadillas (I think they sell them - I've never bought quesadillas before...).
Baked apples are good if you don't want to mess around with flour. I also use my oven to make snack mixes (some things need to be toasted briefly, like nuts or cereal), toast oatmeal (you can use that instead of bread crumbs to coat chicken, then make baked chicken in a toasted oatmeal crust with some spices mixed in with the oatmeal- low fat and heart-healthy, too). |
