| I was reading about Warren G. Harding today; he's considered by many academics to be the worst president ever. Mention Warren G. Harding in a conversation and chances are you'll get people thinking he runs the Ford dealership down on route 85. Funny how things can change over time. |

The longer Bush stays in office, the higher Clinton's ranking among the presidents. The right-wingers know and can't stand it. That's the best revenge of all.

Clinton spoke very strongly and effectively in the interview itself, but the right wing media stooges are characterizing it as being delivered in a "crazed tone", etc.
"Deadman's" link to Keith Olberman's response is definitely worth checking out for its blistering and comprehensive attack on Republicans' ruthless, cynical power-for-power's sake political strategy that includes rewriting history ...http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3592217964261572444&q=clinton+interview&hl=en |

| I just watched Olberman's clip. Wow! The ending where he says Bush's policies on torture are not American values is spot on. |

I disagree. Carter had the potential to be one of the best--he just had a spoiled ass public who didn't realize what the alternative was and basically canned the poor geezer for events beyond his control.

That was great.
Fox News lured Clinton into their waiting trap with the false promise of talking about his charity work.
Clinton walked straight into the lions' den with eyes wide open. When they ambushed him, he turned the tables.
Perfect. |

Does anybody know of website where one can view the number of days/hours/minutes until George Bush is out of office?
If such a website doesn't exist, is there anybody you know of who would be willing to create one? |

| The comparison between Bush and Clinton in terms of eloquence and intelligence is so staggering it positively chills me... |

| They say that Clinton was the most intelligent man to sit in the White House since Thomas Jefferson. I think the man's brilliant. I'm not that interested in U.S. politics, but I used to watch the State of the Union addresses just to listen to see and hear his great oratory. What a difference from the dimwit that's in office now. If it wasn't for that dumb scandal, I think his presidency would have been one of the best in U.S. history. Unfortunately, the Lewinsky thing killed his last 2 years in office. |

I used to be a Christian, and I can say that whatever Christianity stands for, it's not Bush. |
It's funny you should say that because you're wrong.
In thirty years, he'll be remembered as the guy who changed the face of the Middle East.
You have to understand something. America is not going anywhere when it comes to Iraq. Even if a democrat gets in, you won't see us pull out.
We can't. We're stuck.
So Iraq--although it might take a couple of decades--will succeed. It's going to cost a lot of blood. But we will have a presence there for years to come.
It's not unlike Korea. That place was a mess for years. Heck, it's been a democracy for less than two decades.
That means it took the Koreans more than thirty years to establish democracy. It will probably take the Iraqis about the same amount of time.
Who knows? In twenty years, your kids might be there teaching ESL and bad-mouthing the American army while getting toasted at the local rock-n-roll bar. |

| No I didn't. I figured it was just more of Clinton whining from the way everyone was posting here. But then this is a very left leaning board so I should have known it was just spin. Clinton was a joke and still is. |
Jeez man, where to start. This is a left-leaning board, so .. what is spin? The video? Do you even know what spin means?
Then, there's the whole thing about you forming an opinion without first viewing the material. Did you sell your doublewide in Missoura before coming out thar to Korealand? |
Truth hurts huh? The double wide analogy sure cut me to the core, how will I ever recover? I wouldn't spend 3 seconds watching any video of Clinton. 8 years of him was more than enough. Go ahead, give me somemore labels-you're so good at it. |

History will be quite unkind to Bush. He tried to be president, but completely and utterly failed in every aspect of the office. He has already exposed himself to be an immature, lying, reactionary puppet for some really evil people, namely Rumsfeld, Cheney and Wolfowitz, who are the people really in control.
In a sense, one could easily feel sorry for Bush. He is obviously a mouthpiece for others and with his limited intellect, can easily be seen as a kind of victim. Perhaps at best, this is how history will see him; a pathetic rich kid who wants to be great, but is flawed to the core and makes all the wrong friends who lead him down the wrong path.
Either way, he won't be seen as the president he wants to be seen as, and hopefully, this will be clearly and definitively illustrated in his lifetime, so he can leave this world feeling a failure. Justice will prevail against people like Bush.
Clinton commands respect;
GWB demands respect.
