Well, "gang ah jee", the show is based on the life and humor of Ray Ramano. Another name for Krishna is Ramana. One of the most famous temples in Vrindavan is the Radha Ramana temple:
There's also a Krishna temple by that name in Bergamo, Italy - and Ray Ramano is Italian... There must be a connection!
By the way, another name for the sacred Ganges River is Ganga (so you must be related to Vedic culture also...)

Of course, "jinju" is probably gonna get pissed off and complain to the mods that I'm hijackin' his thread... (Everybody Hates Jinju?...) Then again, I've seen reports that he has a great sense of humor - I wonder if Ray's father was ever in Jinju when stationed in Korea?...

The show's name is Everybody Loves Raymond, not Everybody Loves "Everybody Loves Raymond"..
Because the show is largely based on the stand-up humor of veteran comedian, Ray Ramano |
I know what she show's name is, if EVERYONE loved Raymond (Ray Ramano) EVERYBODY would be watching his show. Can you process that?
As it stands when Ray was at his most loveable, about a fifth or a sixth of the TV audience in his time slot loved him enough to watch his show and not some other show.
Im not trying to start a debate on the merits of this show, just on the fact that it is based on a LIE that EVERYBODY loves Ray and his comedy. |

| I've only ever seen a few seconds of "Everybody Bloody Does Not Love Raymond"; precious seconds that I will never get back. It's just one of those extremely annoying (almost always American) TV shows that make me feel like I am being preached to. I just want some humour, damnit!! Funny humour without preaching!! Like Black Books, Blackadder and Seven Periods with Mr Gormsby. Good wholesome humour that insults everyone and is actually witty. |

But, "everyone" doesn't necessarily mean everyone in an all-inclusive sense. It logically refers to everyone that's connected with Raymond in his TV household - perhaps extended to everyone connected to the production of the show - and then to all the viewing audience.
Non-viewers are not among the "everyone" that loves Raymond. However, there may be many people who otherwise would love Raymond and watch the show, but - due to circumstances - may never have been able to tune in (or they love someone else in that time-slot more than they love Raymond...) True selfless love is hard to find...
I've been showing scenes from the King Kong DVD to my high school classes all week, and the strange love between Kong and the actress reaches absurdly funny heights when the giant gorilla carefully clutches the tiny blonde in his hand while ice-dancing in a pond in Central Park. I noticed that some girl students were practically moved to tears by the classic Romeo and Juliet/Beauty and the Beast thematic elements combined with the underlying theme of man's exploitation of nature and fellow man. (er - what was the question?... ) |

Love the show.
Hillarious.
A family show that doesn't do all that sentimental family crap that one may have seen in a show like Full House.
Very realistic. Real people, real situations, realistic dysfunctionality. |

Where I come from, everyone means everyone. If they wanted to say that his family loves him then specify that in the title! "Everyone in Ray's fictional TV family loves Raymond". That has a TRUTHFUL ring to it. |

| "Many People Like Raymond" was a suggested title, but was considered too anal. |

Wow! What an astute observation. I think this subject needs to be looked at deeper.
Were those really his three sons?
Is eight really enough?
What do you call a rerun of Saturday Night Live?
Were they really angels, Charlie?
The list goes on. |

Ahh yes, the truthfulness of sitcom titles. What about the following-
Gilligan's Island- so who named it Gilligan's? Shouldn't it be Skipper's Island, or Professor's. Why the bumbling Gilligan? Actually it's probably one of the Channel Islands of southern California's coast, so Santa Gilligan's Island would be more appropriate.
Happy Days- what was so happy about them?
The King of Queens- who made some fat UPS driver a king?
The Prince of BelAir- same
That 70's Show- shouln't it be "That 2000's Show- That Parodies A 70's Show"?
Welcome Back, Kotter- so they welcomed him back for 5 seasons?
(Huffdaddy- I see we think alike. Scary.) |

All good questions indeed, yet this is about "Everybody (Ha!) Loves Raymond" |

and the show is called "everybody loves raymond" so that means everybody in raymond world loves raymond. so a truthful title it is. |

When you said fraudulent advertising it reminded me of the "$6 dollar burger" at hardees. The $6 dollar burger sold for 3.99. What a deal? eh. You are getting a $6 dollar burger so cheap. |

That show reminds me of Everybody Loves Raymond. Both horrible connect-the-dots sitcoms with contrived family settings meant to be seen as normal.
Newbie said: "A family show..."
That's all you need to say. These days, "family" anything means base entertainment aimed at simplistic chin dribblers. |
