Most of the artists I would recommend highly are well known. But...
David Gray...
Chicane...
And they are probably not obscure enough, but there you go... |

Here we go, someone else I am listening to these days(In addition to Broken Social Scene):
Ratatat
Caveat: Someone was just being silly, I hope, when they coined "Indietronica". Or taking the piss. |

Do you mean "fireworks" Pele?? I used to love that album, but can't find it to download anywhere... Can you help me out?
My obscure artist is Tanya Stephens. Wicked female Jamaican singer who's voice lends itself to any style. She can do roots, lovers rock, dancehall and still sound wicked, you get me?

If you like David Gray, you should check out Teitur Lassen (or he goes by just Teitur). Very cool stuff. Also, Sondre Lerche. |

Because photography isn't really art. It's just pointing a camera and going 'click'. Any mokey can do that. Music takes some training, and artistic sensibilities. |

I wasnt talking just about photography. However, now that we are on the subject, it is your position that theres no skill involved in photography? i.e. everyone makes equally good photos? You are a fucking idiot.
But I see you did sign up for he contest. Why no photos? Id be curious to see if you can even attain the level of a monkey. |

John Wesley Harding - master of gangsta folk. Composer of the best song about the OJ trial (Where the Bodies Are) - 3 years before it happened. He predicted the tigers getting Roy (Darwin (I Told You So)).
And now, an acclaimed novelist to boot:
