I'm looking to buy a new HD. Im not looking for a huge storage o ne. But one in middle price range I guess. Any websites that are cheap for them would be appreciated. I 'd prefer not to go to Yongsan and haggle about if I could get a good price through GMARKET or something.. cheers

please check the sticky above names (excellent computer websites). You'll find what you are looking for; guaranteed.

Unfortunately, you will have to be more specific when you talk about price. Please let us know what price range you are looking in.

The best consumer harddrives are made by Seagate. I would recommend the Barracuda 7200.10 or the something with a smaller capacity from the Barracuda 7200.9 line.

When you are ready to buy, forget about sites like Interpark and Gmarket and go to www.danawa.com or www.bb.co.kr/index.php where you will get the cheapest prices, sometimes even better than in Yongsan.

Has anyone actually bought anything using danawa.com?

Actually, danawa is just a price comparison site. It will do a search for you and find the cheapest deal for you from a whole slew (sp?) of sites. Each price listing represents a different store, but, as opposed to the listings that you will get from gmarket and interpark, their are many more stores and thus more chance of finding a great deal. And, yes, I have bought lots of stuff from the danawa listings after spending hours on other sites trying to find one that can beat the prices that it comes up with, and then failing to do so.

I have a barracuda 7200.9 NCQ drive in my system and it purrs.

It would be nice to know what kind of hard drive you're looking for: a plain old 3.5" for a desktop, a 2.5" for a laptop, or a ?" for an ultraportable laptop?

I usually end up being redirected to the individual store, and then I buy from there. Haven't had any problems buying components, and DVD-Rs from these places.
