Final League Update: Monday, October 2nd, 10:30am

I increased the teams in the league from 14 to 16 (requests by new owners to join with no spaces left) and a few owners already in the league thought it was getting too deep. Thus, I changed the roster configuration slightly reducing the number of forwards from 12 to 10; D from 6 to 5; added 1 UTIL and reduced the bench spots from 10 to 8 -essentially freeing up 56 new spaces. The two new teams coming in take up 52 more roster spaces. Thus, I've actually reduced the player universe by 4 from what was scheduled originally. As of now we have 15 of 16 teams in the league with one open spot left. It's been filling up super fast so I expect the league will be full sometime this afternoon. Anyhow, thanks to everyone who joined and best of luck this season!

Aim for 30 teams! Thats when things get interesting, when the Josh Greens and Aaron Downeys of the league need to be drafted to fill out rosters.

Draft just finished. 16 teams. 26 rounds, includes 8 bench players to rotate in days the other players are off and for injuries, suspensions, etc.

I feel like i just raided the ajumma's gimchi fridge! Very Happy Wish it's a money league.

We don't need to think long term, just this season's goals, assists, powerplay points, shorthanded points, penalties, and goalie stats. So, forget going for budding youth who might need another year to fully develop into stars and forget salary issues, there's no cap so no use talking about the value of a cheap talent over a bloated overpaid star. Just pick the best performers for THIS season. I suspect I did, or close to it. Wink

Forwards: Marian Hossa, Marleau, Tanguay, Cole, Doan, Handzus, Yashin, Satan, York, and for the BENCH: Eaves, Rucchin, Cooke, Roenick, Clark, Lombardi, Franzen, Clymer

Defensemen: Lidstrom, Nummelin, Heward, Wideman, Campoli

Goaltenders: Nabokov, DiPietro plus bench: Kolzig, Khabibulin
