Is Bob ever going to be in another good/great movie? Seriously, the number of crappy films he's starred in has almost surpassed the number of classic* films in which he's been featured.
I can just imagine Martin Scorsese considering him for the role in The Departed that went to Jack Nicholson, before quietly saying "Bobby's dead to me" like Michael Corleone in The Godfather Part II.
This question also applies to Harrison Ford and Al Pacino.
*And for you nitpickers out there, by "classic" I mean "outstanding," not "golden age." |

cant expect any actor or in fact in person to be great forever!!
there comes a time where you will be remembered for what you did.. but there is always alittle magic left..
Bobby and Al have a few more great roles in them..
Al did a wonderful performance Angels in America ok its going back 2 or 3 years. but still new. The Merchant of Venice not fantastic but still a great
performance as Shylock..
lets see how it goes in Ocean13!
and bobby!! I think we will see a great performance from him in the good shepherd!
and harrison! well, we already knew he was no pacino!!
still good entertainment tho.. |

| DeNiro's a great actor. He's just been picking junk screenplays to act in. Maybe he's in a ton of debt because it seems like he's sold out for the bucks. 20 years ago everything he was in was quality. He's probably racked up that American Express card that he uses in their commercials. |

| Listen punks, De Niro and Pacino will go down as the two greatest there ever was even they make bad movies from now till they die. And fact is, it's not Bobby's acting skills that are declining, but maybe his or his agent's ability to pick good films that will allow him to shine in. Pacino's been a bit better in that lately. Bobby needs good films to bring himself out, Al will totally own the screen even in a lackluster film. There are so many factors beyond an actoers control that go into laying down a great performance in a great film with great co actors. No one has hit it out the park every time, no one. And picking on these two giants is just ignorant. You look at older actors like Morgan Freeman and Anthony Hopkins, and you know Bobby and Al will not be bowing out anytime soon. No reason to, there are roles for older guys, and they still enjoy what they do. What's more, they WILL both put on further stella performances in the future. It's in thier nature now, they've been great for too long, you don't lose that. They are, too use the street parlance, too legit to quit... |

Deniro's been the producer of most of his recent films hasn't he? It would explain the quality of his recent films. It would also explain why other (better) producers aren't contacting him for roles in films like The Departed.
Also, outside of the Star Wars and Indiana Jones films, has Harrison Ford ever done anything good?
Correction: Blade Runner

| Harrison Ford is another bad one. He's been taking all these lame cookie cutter roles, just walking through his career. |
