S. Korea detects signs of N. Korea's nuke test
SEOUL, Oct. 9 (Yonhap) -- South Korea received intelligence on Monday that North Korea might have conducted a nuclear test, officials here said.
"President Roh Moo-hyun called in an emergency meeting of related ministers on Monday to discuss the North Korean nuclear issue," Foreign Ministry spokesman Choo Kyu-ho said. "The meeting comes as there has been a grave change in the situation involving the North's nuclear activity."
He refused to go into further detail, citing the sensitivity of the issue. |

It was just reported on the news here in the states a few seconds ago.
They're saying it was an underground test. |

Um, so, in the event of a US or Japanese strike against the North, we'll be given fair warning, right?
Right?

Daejeon seismic observatory reported a seismic wave as big as 3.58~3.7 was detected coming from Hwadae, Hamkyungbook-do at 10:36 in the morning (Korea time). They are trying to confirm if it was caused by the alleged underground nuke test or just a natural earthquake.

The thread in General Discussion was locked, so they've flung us all into the SNAKE PIT FORUM. (Hi, snakes! Nice snakes... Good snakes, goooood snakes.... )
I think the South Koreans should be concerned and should throw a fit over this, but let's don't kid ourselves. They're the happy frogs in the ever-so-slowly boiling pot of water who never complain or jump out. They don't want to be an ally, they don't even want to be a regional "balancer" (as if they could). The just want to enjoy the hot bath.
Look at all the wonderful benefits Korea's Sunshine Policy has brought them.

Let's keep the Jews and Muslims out of this, 'kay? I am honoring you CE jackasses with my presence due to the gravity of the current situation.
BBC says the South Koreans say there was seismic activity. |

That would be a pretty convenient natural earthquake. |

Reality is a bitch.
Years of "******* USA" and obsessing about 2 dead school girls and this is the reality of their silly lives. Enjoy the storm SK, you deserve it.
Now, I want the USA to take care of this Clint Eastwood style. Make an example out of NK. An example that Brazil, Egypt and Hugo (and the others who want a bomb) can't help but understand.
Mod Edit:Edited for language. |
