Faking having nuclear weapons in this manner must set a new standard in how crazy a country can get.

But is this true? Or is this report of a hoax a hoax?

Cite your source. That's not what I'm reading on the news.

Check out CNN .. or any other reputable news source, for that matter. It WAS a nuke... a small one, but nuclear nonetheless... Atmospheric sampling has confirmed radiation in the area of the test site.

The US was watching the site with satellites. The explosion was supposed to be 1/2 kiloton or 500 tons of TNT. Now you'd have to truck a lot of conventional explosives in to make that kind of explosion. The US argues when the site is being watched, it's kind of hard to sneak in such a large amount of explosives.

There wasa spy plane took off for the area immediately after the blast. It took photos and air samples..the result is...yes.

A half-kiloton nuke is a pretty wimpy nuke. Wouldn't even take out a square mile.
