There is a ton of motels in Yuseong!
Also, if you want to Gyerongsan, there are new motels and *soobahk* near it, too, which might be more convenient?
Just come and pick a motel you like. We put some friends in a motel near Carre... I mean Homever once and it was 50K a night. I think it was called the Piano Motel or something.
Because Yuseong is a tourist place that all hotels are stupidly expensive and crap, imo. |

OK what about from the Gongju side. We lived there in 1996-97 and havent been back since late 97. As I recall there were some hotels south of the river near the tombs
anything changed there since then? |

There's dozens of love hotels directly over the river from the fortress in Gongju near the intercity bus terminal. Hotel Kumgang is good. Around 45-50k a night for one of their VIP rooms. Buses to Gyeryongsan leave from the other side of the river though (in the main part of Gongju). Take any that are heading to Gapsa or Donghaksa.
There's actually quite a good hike that goes from one of those temples to the other one...takes around 3 hours. Take a bus to one and then another back from the other. |

There is a small stream running through Yusong. Along the stream are some motels for about W35,000 a night. Reasonable quality. Look around the restaurant/creek section. |
