yesterday i did my final harvest for the year, and i got another giant pumpkin. looking at the pictures, it seems to be about as big as the first pumpkin, but it's certainly a lot heavier. not quite as pretty as the first one either, but it will serve my halloween purposes well enough, as well as leave me a multitude of seeds to plant next spring.

Been shooting up your pumpkins eh?

Growers have many techniques, often secretive, including hand pollination, removal from the vines of all but one pumpkin, and injection of fertilizer or even milk directly into the vines with a hypodermic needle.

It's a camera trick. You're leaning back as far as possible to make your head look smaller. Laughing

Where's your garden? You live in a house, or you rent/own arable land?

I personally want to get seeds from that freakishly big pumpkin variety from Nova Scotia and some Red Savina peppers ('Oh, so you think foreigners don't like spicy food, thus implying that Koreans are tougher? Take a bite out of this.'). My in-laws have a lot of land that I can use.
