should I be concerned? I think they are just mosquito bites or some kind of bug bites but its all over my legs. and its getting quite pink with a white middle kind of like a pimple -- a white head to be exact. Should I see a doctor about them or just leave it as is?
i feel like its an infection with its white *beep* middle. |

Sounds like spiders are hanging around the end of your bed and having a feast on your legs.
As soon as you move into an appartment you should THOROUGHLY clean it. Floor, mats, beds, sheets, bathrooms, sinks, etc. The weather is getting cool and spiders and other insects are starting to move in.
If they attack your arms mostly with welts and itchiness 10x that of a mosquito bite then you have bed bugs. THAT is a nightmare and a half as I experienced it firsthand in Japan. PM me if ya need help/advice. |

I cleaned everything throughly before moving in and I clean everything like really scrub once a week! I am now scared out of my mind. they aren't itchy but they are getting dry. they have white p-uss in the middle basically.
oh i am grossed out now.
what can I do about them? bug repellant?
I think I would notice if they are roaches. |

No you wouldn't. They start to hide once the light starts to come out. Even with a major infestation, you'll be lucky to see 2 or 3 when you have the lights on. Most dart away. |

Sorry but it always astounds me that people post questions on here, to a group of teachers, to ask them if they should go to a doctor.
Now, if this was a "Teaching Medicine in Korea" forum, I could understand....
If you think you have an infection of some sort, describing what it looks like to people here is not going to make it go away.
Even without medical insurance it only costs about 6,000 won to see a doctor. if in doubt, go. |

okay sorry if u find it 'astounding' that people post questions on here, but these group of teachers a lot of them are very experienced and can offer advice. Basically they are the been there done that people. So what if repliers have been in my situation before? they can either tell me 'omg go visit the doctor' or tell me 'ah its nothing don't worry about it, but here's what you do to prevent later on in the future....'
This is what this forum was created for to ask questions and discuss things and if you still find it 'astounding' welcome to the digital age where have you been under a rock or something?
Other than that thanks to everyone else. |

Actually, what I said was that people come on here to ask 'medical questions', not 'questions.' "Where's the doctor's office?" is one thing but "What is this particular condition" is another -- what if everyone here said to you "Nah, it's nothing, don't worry" and then you went to a doctor a eyar later to find that it was, in fact, a very serious thing which could have been cured had you only gone to a doctor instead of posting a written sort-of description of your condition to a group of people who are qualified as English teachers and have no medical training?
Point is, it is very inexpensive and convenient to go to a doctor in Korea, and when you are concerned that you may possibly need one, it is probably wise to go - better safe than sorry. |

| Anyone have good anti-mosquito tips? Just a couple days here and I am getting chewed up. My hostel seems clean, but that isn't making me any less bit. |

I don't know what you call it, but you can buy one of those plug in type of mosquito repellent that you can plug it into the electrical wall outlet. You can find them in any large market.
It lasts about 15 days to a month. |
