Once, a few years ago, I was fed up with friggin' Korea, or so I thought, and a friend here said, "don't go to China, relax". He was in Korea at the time. So I relaxed and stayed put here.

But later, he went. He stayed at a college that preps students for an overseas college experience in the maritimes (Canada). It was a rare job for China in that the pay was as much as here (in Korea). But he later described it as like the movie 'The Shawshank Redemption'.

There are about 20 foreign teachers and, during the day, they aren't allowed to leave the college. There were make up classes and sudden notice overtime. He stayed there two years. Now he just arrived back in Korea. It was like he escaped the China experience and he's very happy to get back to Korea.
