Hi,

I was looking on www.immigration.go.kr and found that this in the Visa application section:

Quote:
Visa fees exemption countries:
Britain, Sweden, Spain, Italy, Thailand, Japan, Taiwan

Conditions:
Every Visa (Regardless of its period of stay)
In case of Britain, the period of stay should be no more than six months

Surely there is some sort of mistake here? Or are British people destined to only stay for half a year?

Thanks in advance for any help.

It means that they can be exempt from visa fees for certain classes of visa (those with less than 6 month duration).

They are also exempt from paying fees for their re-entry permits.

Thank you, ttompatz.

I hoped it would be something simple like that.

Seeing as all or most teaching jobs are on one-year contracts, this would seem to say that Brits can come and go as tourists but must still pay fees for teaching visas just like everyone else.

The other countries on that list don't qualify for English teaching visas.
