I need a good cooling system (preferably liquid cooling). Something I can buy here in Korea. Any suggestions?

Well...I don't know much about liquid cooling (too expensive for a couple of degrees) but the Zalman solutions are well-rated and I have one on my graphics card and it works sweet.

Honestly were you doing an overclock when your CPU went strange on you? Don't worry, we've all done it Smile some CPUs are stronger than others.

Not at all. I jumped into my F.E.A.R. server and noticed that it slowed down significantly. I was like, "WTF?" Then, I loaded a simpler game that runs crazy fast on my PC. Even that game lagged! I didn't have to try and overclock the CPU; it's fast enough as it is.

Then I ran the test and realized something was up! Also, today if you read the earlier post, I booted up the PC when the processor was cold. I ran the diagnostic and everything was fine. I checked it 5 more times in 2 minute intervals and noticed that as the CPU heated up, the performance went down. That's when I knew that the CPU is getting too hot. I am hoping that by buying a good water cooling system that the problem will be remedied. If not, then it will turn out I did fry my cpu and I will have to buy a new one. Soo....now I am shopping for a good CPU cooling system.

CL...sorry to say this, but the stock Intel cooler is more than good enough for the job. There is undoubtedly something else wrong and I truly don't think it has anything to do with the cooling system.

If you used too much heatpaste or if the CPU was defective or if it's still a BIOS problem (did you try to see if there is a newer BIOS? Flash it...), I don't know, but really, water cooling won't do anything.

If you want to test the cooler, open the box and put a housefan on full blast pointing into the box point-blank. I surmise that nothing will change.

Needless.

The Intel cooler is a quality part for stock and slightly above. Get a Zalman if you want to move up, but mate...you have just had a scare. Let it pass for a week and you will see that setup with clearer eyes. Yeah, it's cool (!), but really, you aren't doing any overclocking and unless you just want a quieter system, it's terribly over the top.
