I think it helps people learn the anthems.
When my mom got her Canadian citizenship (she's originally American), my dad and I taught her the Canadian anthem and we both paused for a second after Oh Canada because we're so used to doing it in francais/English. As well, when it ended, we looked at each other and started chanting Go Habs Go

Of course, Mr Platinum was not professional.

What a professional would do: Just mouth the words, with straight-ass serious delivery.

And then let the crowd murderize whoever's running the rink's PA for obviously not turning his mic on.
