Is there a law here (haven't noticed any..haha) that says I don't have to pay back airfare if I stay 6 months...or does it just depend on the contract?
Any web sites to see laws concerning teaching contracts here? |

There is most defnitely no law specifically stating about one normal, rather small (when looked at to everything else) benefit of a small group of relatively unimportant foreigners who teach in only one, relatively unimportant small sector. |

Well hey, they just legalized miniskirts so anything's possible in Korean law.
OP, there's no law about it, it depends on what you agree to in your contract. Having to reimburse airfare if you quit in your first 6 months is a common contract clause, nothing more. |

There is no law that states that Koreans have to pay you an airfare to come as there is no laws about quitting and repayment of airfares, etc,,
It is just a fringe benefit....
It depends on what contract you have signed.....if it states you will pay it back and you signed it then if you want to stay in korea you will either have to negotiate ot pay the full amount...... |
