We have seen it alleged here that any Republican victory must mean electoral fraud/suppression and will prove, implicitly, that the U.S. is under a dictatorship that perpetrated 9/11 and other evil things.
We have also seen it alleged here that, in his inimitable way or saying it...

You yourself, Ya-ta, have suggested things are so bad that we cannot even run our own elections anymore. And the Swiss should come in and run them for us.
Call it what you will. "Silly" is exactly what I call it from where I am standing...

Spoken by a typical leftist who proposes to tell us all about voting irregularities and a govt-perpetrated 9/11 conspiracy but who does not even know what state he would be voting in or why it might matter if he voted.
Perhaps your side loses not because of any conspiracy or voter suppression but simply because you people are just plain lost... |

A PhD-level argument here.

Well, that's him. Your distinctions between him/her/they/we seem to be functioning somewhere on the cro-mag level. "Him" becomes "they". "They" becomes "this board". Then you even go so far as to blame things on "drunk PC bangs". How does a PC bang get drunk in the first place? Then the PC bangs are conspiratorial...then it's shrill, leftist, anti-bush blah blah blah blah blah.

Oops for a second time, there were already international observers in 2004. It's your assertion that it's a sign we can't run our own elections. And you can call it silly, but's already a reality. |

And I just want to take the time to say, as you were away for a while, that I, for one, really missed you. I can't tell you how many times I thought to myself: "I wonder what Nowhere Man is doing these days?" Whatever that might have been, good to have you back. |

So you can tag onto people's arguments whatever you like with the word "implicity"?
And, I think you owe Meegook an apology. |

Indeed, Goph.
You should trot over to the evolution discussion before you start busting out the labels.
Plus, you accused him of not knowing what state he's eligible to vote in because he was responding to a question from me.
Maybe you need to lay off the vino tinto. |

I am not responsible for what other posters think and say.
I happen to think this is an important and potentially dangerous public issue, worthy of discussion. I do not know how to respond to someone who can't see a distinction between my position and some of the others. |

I smell desperation. Here we have the world's greatest poster of reams of words, who seems to tout his supposed educational superiority to the rest us, nei, over us, and yet how sloppy, sloppy, sloppy he has become.
He has previously stated "republicans" = "all republicans." Well, it don't.
Let's take a look at his latest gems:

Well, no, we've seen it STATED UNEQUIVOCALLY that "a" republican win equals voter fraud. Look at the polls, friend. The Dems controlloing either house of of congress equals a big win for Democrats, the country and the world at large. (And, no, this is not hyperbole. It is that important.) Democrats not winning either house of congress equals gross vote fraud and the stealing of yet another election. It may well signal the beginnin of a long, slow WWIII

I've never stated there was a dictatorship. There is highly illegal and unconstitutional usurping of the powers of Congress, the Judiciary and the People. Treason has been committed, repeatedly.

I wrote not what you claim, but what I actually wrote. And I stand by it.
Yes, gopher is a desperate man. His attempts to silence dissent via his disingenius exhortations to quietly, and in a gentlemanly manner, tsk-tsk at the massive fraud, lying, and negligent homicide of Americans and Iraqis, have failed. He was a republican shill claiming to be a Democrat. He was outed. He admitted it, and he's become ever more of a shill ever since.
I was right all those months ago, you were wrong. Even if you had been an honest actor who really was a Dem and thought a stiff upper lip was what we needed and that speaking loudly AND carrying a big stick would only help the Republicans, you still would have been wrong.
It has been fighting fire with fire that has awakened America from its slumber. It has been the 9/11 wives standing strong and demanding a whitewash be rectified. It has been Patty Sheehan making her stand. It has been the brave commentary of people such as Olbermann. It has been the revelations - FINALLY - from the media and insiders. We are no longer speaking like gents wearing smoking jackets.
We are angry. We are mobilized. We are taking back America.
Enjoy the ride, gopher. And be glad. If we fail to oust the neo-cons and reverse the many wrongs, the world will suffer its worst century since the middle ages.
