Hey Seoul101,
A former Canadian workmate has friends who work there and they love it - that was the latest I heard (2 months ago). You do need to arrange your own housing I think.

I'll check it out - I'm in the process of looking for a new job at the moment, and from what I've heard, the working hours appeal to me.
Thanks.

They have a really cheesy advert on the subway PA. "Learn English a better way, Wallstreet Institute." |

I worked there for two years awhile back and I really enjoyed it. In fact, it was the best job I had during the 5+ years I worked in Korea. The students there are highly motivated and it's more or less a self-study program with native teachers available for "free talking". Your job would be to do "speaking tests" with them and decide whether they are ready for the next level as well as do "social clubs" - thematic workshops.
I would highly recommend working there. Plus, as far as I know, it's the only adult education institute that won't require you to work split shifts if you don't want to. |

Yeah, holy shit are those annoying.
Also, Pagoda Direct English only requires split shifts for the first 6 months (so they say). I suspect they rely on a high turnover rate to accomplish that though. |

Yeah, holy *beep* are those annoying. |
Better than the new one where the uni student opens the door to the WI, and walks into a nightclub as she shakes her booty all night long!
What a smoking K-chick in hotpants at a hopping nightclub has to do with learning English, I dunno. |

So what do they pay? I looked on their website and there is no pay listed.
I know of a few people who went to work there and they were all sent to Thailand by the company for vacation.
I'm thinking a change of scenery may be necessary if it's worth my while.
Cheers |

I went for a semi-interview a while back, and I think I remember the part-time option being around 1.3 or 1.4 mil.. not really enough, but they do allow you to get a second job at a public school after/before work.
I don't remember what they said about the full-time option though :/ |

So does anyone actually know how much Wallstreet pays for full time? And while I'm at it, what is the housing situation like and how much vacation time do you get?
Their website doesn't have any positions available right now so I can't find the info online. |
