Just out of curiosity. I know people talk about coming to Korea prepared so they won't be bored while living there, so people suggest bringing DVD's, latops, games, and books, but has anyone brought their PlayStation 2's, X-Box's, GameCube's, or anything of that sort to Korea for more entertainment?

If so, how did you bring them?

You were hired to work...no games young blood. You are a slave, no time for games. This is serious business teaching ESL to koreans. Get with the program. You will give a bad name to foreigners. During your free time and days off, you are expected to be prepared for class and prepare lessons. Work, work, work.

Seriously though....games are so cheap in korea and I have seen others bringing along their toys.

I brought my xbox- and thirty some odd games- put the x box in checked luggage - wrapped it in a towel- took all of the games out of the boxes and put them in plastic sandwich bags- saved weight and space;
they also went into checked luggage, except for 4 games that I took on carry on.

Of course, if you put it in checked luggage it could get lost- may want to get insurance- or just wing it and hope for the best.
Regardless of how you bring it- I will tell you it is very nice haveing my xbox system over here.

Edit- of course if you have something like the newer PS2 slim model- put it in your carry on- my xbox- being a hefty piece of tech- would not fit in with the other essentials I brought in carry on.

I purchased my xbox here, along with 5 games on the 80gb hd and 4 controllers for about 220,00. Anytime I wanted a new game I would download it via torrent. I wouldn't bother bringing a system since you can find everything you want here, and you won't have to take up valuable luggage space
