What would you guys suggest? I would like somethign to watch movies (like an IPOD) for the trip home this Christmas (I have been thinking of getting an mp3 player for awhile though). Battery life is pretty important to me. Recommendations? Ideas? Flames? All welcome |

Cowon A2 is supposed to be alright, however, I've seen a lot of people on the subway lately sporting I-Stations. Personally, I think the I-Station looks the best right now, but I don't know what kind of batterly life you can expect while playing video. |

Battery life on the V43 is typically 7 hours for video and 14 hours for audio. I got two extra batteries and a portable charger with mine as part of the package.
Here's the V43 English website.....It's not very good yet as it's just been put up. In fact, as we're talking Korean company here, it probably will never be any good!! But it does have all the basic info.

eamo, where did you buy it and how much did you pay? (if you don't mind me asking, if you do, that's ok) |

No problem at all.
My wife bought me it as a birthday present in March of this year. She bought it online. CJmall. 608,000. I got the 30GB NAVI model. (do you need GPS?). That price included the two extra batteries. Just recently I saw the same model advertised by a Yongsan dealer for 412,000!! The V43 has dropped 200,000 in 6 months because of the newer models (T43 and S43) I guess. In my opinion you don't need the newer models unless you want in-built DMB (gets you about 8 Korean TV channels).
If you decide to get one you really should order the optional leather pouch (25,000 I think) as the foam one supplied is useless. |
