For years I've been using the free version of AVG's anti-virus program. I've never had any problems with it. But they're discontinuing support of the free version.

So, any place I can get McAffee, or Norton in Seoul? Other than the man in the tunnel.

Or, are there any better suggestions than the big two?

Many people seem to like avast's free version. I think I will go to that when AVG goes to payland.

One of us has been misinformed.
Hint: it's not me.

I'm already running 7.5 on my laptop, and will be making the switch on my other computers shortly (plus buying a business version for the computer I'll build in January).Grissoft also bought EWIDO anti-spyware and it's seems to be a nice piece of software but it's a 30 day trial for the 'automatic shield' component). Is it worth buying over have free ad aware? I'm going to have to look into it.

Hmm...

That popup is a bit misleading. I guess they are trying to get more people to use the pay version.

Thanks for the eye-opening Bulsajo.

What a bunch of jerk-faces. If I wasn't so cheap, I'd go pay for something else out of spite.
