I've read here the Xbox 360 is NOT. What about the other two? Nintendo said it would be but I've also read it's not. How about the PS3?
In short, can a sytstem bought here work in Canada or the US? Also will North American games work in a system bought here? Will the games be available here in Englishee? |

The PS3 has no region code.
The Xbox 360 does have region codes.
Wii does have region codes. |

PS2 games will still be region coded.
Blue-ray movies are also region-coded
The following is the Blue-ray region code list:
Region 1: North America, South America, East Asia except for China (India, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia etc.)
Region 2: Europe and Africa
Region 3: China, Russia and other countries
This is for movies only!
Most first party 360 games such as Gears of War and all Ubisoft games do not have region-coding. It is entirely optional for each publisher on the 360. You can check on the internet for which games are locked and which are not. |
