Its open source. You can install SNES, NES, Game Boy + game boy color, Neo Geo, and now PSX games and roms on it, and they all work 100% fine.
Get the JoyNux game pad, if you need any help with buying it or modding it (to play open source) give me a PM and I can help.

There are so many roms and emulators for it that work perfectly, V43 is truly awsome.

How do the i2 and v35 (are they the same?) compare to the v43. I'd like to get one but I don't want to spend too much on bells and whistles I don't need. I'd use it for the navigation, mp3 and video functions.

Plus my wife doesn't like me buying gadgets much. I'd have to sell the idea to her too.
