| In about 2 weeks my contract is over and since it is almost a perfect time to travel in both Thailand and Cambodia I am not going to miss the oppourtunity. Anyway I am going to be there for about 2 weeks and the places I really want to see are Bangkok, Chang Mai, Krabi, and Angkor Vat. I was looking through my lonely planet and there seems to be a lot of good recommendations, but I was just wondering if anyone has been to any of these places and could give me any suggestions as to where to go and where to stay. The person I am meeting is a lawyer so she doesnt mind spending a couple extra bucks a night especially at a resort in Krabi. Anyway, I would appreciate any suggestions. |

90% of people here have been to those places, you didn't say what kind of budget you're on so be more specfic
just get out of there before Christmas, that week and New Years prices soar and down in the resorts they slap on a "mandatory gala dinner" at a ridiculous price |

| For the 2 weeks in Thailand I was thinking about a 800-1000 dollar budget. I have already bought the ticket so that isnt included in that number. Since I will be with another person at the resorts in Krabi we were thinking about renting a place in the 60-100 dollar/night range. But if there are better places at a lower range that would be really good as well. I am just a little overwhelmed since I have accepted the burden to plan the entire trip and I have a couple of other things going on at the moment. So any information on good accomidations at a good price and/or travel agents would be great. Thanks. |
