living in a city in california, i used to think this sort of thing was bizarro up until about 6 months ago. i made a Muslim friend originally from somalia, and he explained to me that he and his family drove out to some farm every few months to kill their own cow, b/c they didnt trust the halal meat around town. had another friend from nigeria who would slaughter his own goat every 6 months or so, for no other reason other than it was his favorite meat, he didnt touch meat otherwise. i think that's pretty boss, at least the animals were living on farms being farm animals up until they die, instead of chained to a pen standing in their own waste like the factories we usually get our meat from... im such a flippin hypocrite, b/c i will eat a cheese burger with a quickness.

Hey, isn't feta cheese made from goat's milk? Get the goat to turn a profit for you, OP~

No, feta is made from sheep, chevre is made from goats. Both are delicious though.

I like cheese. Cheese is good. Yep. Gotta try chevre sometime.....
