The sooner Korea gets over this stupid 'well-being' craze and gets back to hard-drinking the better.

As for the strength of soju.....I know it's not very strong but it still gets me completely ga-ga after not very much. There's something in it I tell ya!!

I can do 3/4 of a bottle of whiskey easier than 3 bottles of soju. True dat.

Eamo, you're dead right. Same with me. I can drink a good amount of scotch and feel fine. A few bottles of soju and I'm feeling it BIG TIME. And soju (supposedly) has half the alcohol content of whiskey. What's up with that?

I had an interesting conversation with my co-teacher about this the other day. He was telling me that the alcohol content of soju used to be 23% and they lowered it to 20%. He's a Korean guy who loves his soju. I was surprised when he said that he thought that, in his opinion, they should lower it even more. His reasoning was that he thought that alcoholism and public drunkenness was becoming a serious problem in Korea. And, of course, everyone drinks soju. I have to admit, not too many days go by when I don't see some middle aged guy totally fall-down drunk on the bus or subway. By the way, anyone know why they lowered the alcohol content in soju in the first place? Just curious.

We've all heard the phrase "education is important in Korea" as though its unique to Korean culture its not. Its interesting when parts of a culture which are not positive emerge from a Korean as if theyre new topics and not a part of Korean culture. Alcoholism, is not BECOMING a serious problem in Korea. Alcoholism is a part of and has been a part of Korean culture for a long time.
People who are addicted to a drug, continue to take the drug, everyday, because they are addicted to the drug. It's not because they have stress at work.

Soju is sneaky strong.

What it needs is more kick to remind the user that they are actually drinking gasoline.

The worst Korean alcohol. 100% synthetic chemicals.

Too bad, as historically there at least used to be GO-Goo-ma in the swill.

#1 - Gash-ee-O-gapi.

#2 - Dong-dong Ju

#3 - Makolli

Anyone caught using the n-word while drinking their soju will be cornholed and shot without further questioning!

We all hate Michael Richards because of that.

That's the good news.

The bad news is that SPINOZA has agreed to do the cornholing. So you will die sexually ungratified!

Thanks,

The Staff.

Remember when all soju was 25%? You can always get stronger, but it's in big jugs for making
ginseng soju or various animal-product soju, like snake or dog.
Korea just went downhill once Green went off the mainstream market. Can you even find it any more?

It's strong enough. Or else it's all the lousy crap in it. I've had a few bad days thanks to that stuff. Beer and non-Korean wine, relatively harmless in comparison.

The rice wine (magolli) is what generally gives the worst hangovers.

That way, people will buy more bottles.
