That was the PS2's original selling point back when a DVD player was $500. Lots of grown men justified the purchase to their wives becaues it could play DVD movies.

Which wasn't a bad deal at the time right?

In another post, you said:

First, I'd like to say that someone that can believe such gross generalizations...well.....it's pretty damn lame.

edit: and this gem i almost forgot:

Quote:
To the op, EDUCATED PEOPLE DON'T MAKE RASH GENERALIZATIONS!

Besides that, it's pretty hard to live an entirely unproductive life and still be able to afford a few thousand dollars on a new computer every year or two. Of course, if you really believe what you type, you'd also have to think that anyone who spends a lot of time and money on any hobby is living a wasted life (not to even mention the amount of time the average person spends simply passively watching TV). I suppose that everyone in the world who has the luxury of spending their free time engaging in an activity that they enjoy is just wasting their life away. So please, as the sole shining bastion of what is good and decent and worthy, please enlighten the rest of us mere mortals on the best possible way to spend our free time.

Hey Crazy_Arcade,

If you really mean what you wrote in the above quote, then I feel for you. Do not expect myself or anyone else to help you on this board if you are going to make fun of us. Weren't you the one we recently helped (among many other people here) and yet you make fun of us?

Yes, I am into gaming, but I am almost working on my M.ed. and am married and have a lot of free time here in Korea. Shame on you. If you really want to make fun of me then allow me to write up my specs. so that you can take all of the shots you want:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.40Ghz-Intel D975XBXLKR brd.
BFG OC 7900GTX - OCZ 2 GIG DDR2 667MHz...

There. Now....go ahead and make fun of me.

Okay!

Hmmm, nothing witty is coming to me right now (yeah, yeah, "that's not news" etc.)

Q: Does this mean you knocked Beaver out of his reigning "machine most coveted" spot here? The king is dead, long live the king!

Who cares how people spend their time....

1: Downloading cheap European porn and playing with their monkey
2: Playing games
3: Watching movies
4: Banging the wife / girlfriend / rented female escort / family dog /
5: Reading Literature
6: Watching T.V

----Korea is very dull, dull, dull place. When you are married it can get even more dull. We are here for money usually...not a good time. I say everyone should try to get some pleasure in their lives.

Damn, hard to disagree with that post, eh?
And it's potentially ubiquitous as well as utilitarian- you could post it in just about any thread in the entire forum and it probably wouldn't be out of place...
Laughing
well done!
