Thanks for the tip!
Pilkington: Well, I've been working hard for 30 years-
Gervais: 30? How old are you again?
Pilkington: uh.... (2 second pause) um, thirty... three.
Gervais: Sorry to throw such a hard question at you...

Karl Pilkington is fantastically hilarious. I've been listening to Series 1 podcasts of the Gervais Show all week, and I really haven't laughed so hard in a long time. |

I just can't get enough of Karl Pilkington. What a freak!! Yet really normal too......I think that's why he's so strange. |

qin...series one is REALLY really good.
I think that the diary is probably the BEST possible thing that could have been done to that show....
"Sat around in the cafe. Everyone watched the local cat lick it's bo11ocks".
I almost died when I heard that. Listening to RG's ridiculous laugh (HYSTERICS!) makes it even more crazy.
From the Thanksgiving episode...there were a couple good ones in that podcast (actually, it could be my FAVORITE out of any of the ones done before...
Two good quotes from Thanksgiving:
"I don't like fun".
"If we didn't have a caldendar we'd have to do everything straight away..."
I laugh while i remember that twaddle.
As a footnote to everyone though: I bought the "World of Karl Pilkington" book. A lot of it is a dissapointment since it's simply a transcript of the podcasts...there ARE A couple diary entrances and funny pictures but really....not worth the purchase.
And since I want to help the other Pilkheads out...

That is their XFM library....there are QUITE a few good bits in there.
(a lot o crap though...)
ALSO... Karl did a few little spots for the BBC called "Three Minute Wonders". Those are quite ridiculous (and the fallout/viewer reaction in S. 3 of the podcasts is...BEYOND Brilliant! They are on youtube.
I'm gonna disagree with eamo; there is VERY VERY little normal about him....though he does breathe oxygen. |
