....screw you over if you quit early?

I'm about seven months into my contract and I've simply had enough of my boss. I had convinced myself that it was just a case of the blues. But it's more than that. I'm tired of the interfering when she feels like it, but giving me shitty answers to questions when she's not interested. I'm also sick of hagwon politics. Having students in an excessively high level just cos they spent six months in America. Having to highlight students' strengths when some of them have none. Getting grief for the most trivial error, and getting absolutley no gratitude or thanks when I bust my balls.

So, I really wanna jack it in. My concern is this. If I give 2 months notice, so that I leave at the end of winter intensive, will my boss try to shaft me on my last paycheck? There is no love lost between us.

I'm not a fan of midnight runs, but I certainly aint a fan of getting shafted.

If possible, do some digging. If she's screwed anyone over before, chances are very high you'll get screwed too.

kiss your last paycheque goodbye (at the very least). count on losing your housing deposit, if you paid one, and anything else she can cook up; this includes paying for the recruiter, deducting the airfare, paying for another recruiter fee to find your replacement, paying for inflated/bogus utility bills (which you will never see)... the list goes on. When it comes to screwing you on a final pay, they can cook up dozens of ways to leave you with nothing.

When do you get paid? Let me guess- the 10th? Tell NO ONE about your plan- quietly ship, (by mail), many things out ahead of you- and sail on the 11th.

Make sure you leave a note behind. Nothing like "I hope you burn in hell biatch!!!!!!!".

Something constructive. Point out everything you just said to us. Make sure you say something like "I've heard many stories about bosses screwing over foreigners and this sounds like you. I just can work in an environment where I don't trust my boss".

By the time she reads it...you're gone.

Add to that note 'I know what you've been doing and have written to the police'

Should drive her paranoia up the wall.

If you ain't coming back don't forget to sell the TV, fridge, wardrobe, bed, Air Con, and any scrap metal you can find in the apartment. Should cover most of your lost wages.

Also hid some fish in the school AC or heaters.

The more spiteful and childish the better.
