I think to bring this site to a higher, evolved status, we the membership should "elect" an odd-number of mods on a 6-month basis.

Excellent idea. I frequent some other forum sites (non-ESL) that have a large member base, who employ a system like this. They have one or two admins that are permanent to keep ongoing oversight for seamless transition over time, however the mod electoral approach works very well.

Dittorooni.

Sorry, but I feel that anyone who thinks they're special, simply because they're moderating, hasn't dealt with enough net idiots yet. I see nothing fun, pleasureful, or rewarding about moderating, and yes, I do moderate/have close friends who moderate elsewhere on the net.

the problem with sifting through the B.S. is that not even people who work for the government know WTF is up. knowing the law, interpreting the law, and enforcing the law are entirely different animals in this country. so you can never post a "definitive" answer to any question regarding the law. but folks might as well try; we can at least approach the truth.

If this is a forum feedback thread, then maybe should be a sticky?
