interested to know where long termers here stock up on their winter clothes. as ive realised that my clothes from home are completely ineffetive against the cold, I really gotta buy some new ones! starting with a jacket. Im not interested so much in places where I have to depart with a large slice of my paycheck. all i can think of is Emart. They had some ok wincheaters and jackets, any better or cheaper places?

Songtan. They have sizes that fit even the largest frame, everyone speaks English pretty much, and the prices are good. Bought a nice suede jacket there yesterday for 80 000 won.

hmm..what line is Song-tan on? I'm thinking about heading there. GMarket.com is a good, inexpensive site to search for clothes..(well everything, really). But you'll need a Korean friend or whomever to help you navigate around the site!

I started using Gmarket about a month ago. I found out I could sign up in English on the Korean site and then the first purchase I made I got my co-teacher to help me.
I can read hangeul and understand some words, and if I don't understand, I'll look it up in a dictionary. I don't enjoy shopping in Korea mostly due to annoying shop workers and that I know I can't fit the clothes, but I'm enjoying browsing through Gmarket!! They have EVERYTHING! Very Happy
