Anyone have experience with getting food shipped into Korea?
I might be needing to get some canned goods sent in as I will be living in a tiny village and if I can't find the stuff I need in a bigger city, importing is my only option
Should I be expecting to get rimmed by customs or does everything go by smoothly as long as it isnt some enormous shipment ?
Korean customs website only mentions "special" procedures for food imports |

What kind of canned foods, exactly?
I think that there are a few Korean-language mail order food services that deliver foreign food to your doorstep. |

Another question, regarding rice. Can you just buy any kind of rice from the supermarket and stick it into the rice maker or do you have to buy pre-washed rice or something like that? |

Beware that the "Yoricome" website, bascially sells CostCo products at elevated prices. ie the cheese 15500원 at CostCo 9800원. If you're no where near a Costco then fair enough!! |

costcoplaza.co.kr is another one.
Of course all these websites are in korean. Why can't they put them in English? Always baffled me.
If you are completely dependent on having Pakistani food around, why did you go to a small city? And, not to be rude, buy why Korea? This places has the least amount of easy to find foreign food of anywhere i've ever been. |
