has anyone gone to india? i am thinking of going there during vacation, but have heard conflicting information about the costs. some have said it is similar to Korea, you must spend about a million won a week on hotels and food and the other basics, others have said it is like thailand or cambodia, meaning almost dirt cheap.

which is right? i know it depends on what you do, but with cheap accomodations, decent food, and still seeing the good sights, how much does it cost?

Housing is expensive and the beggars are quite demanding.

i found it to be cheap, comparable to thai and cambodia....the shopping is even cheaper...
