I am doing a travel lesson that I have written about here in other threads. It includes a dialogue drill based on checking into a hotel. I would like to play a recording of the check-in script I am using.
I would like to ask anyone to make a recording of the dialogue (listed below, you can play either part or just record the whole thing) and send it to me (you can use any format, I can convert it or you can record it direct to YouTube or another such service). I will then piece it together with my own voice.
I will send you the final recording along with all of the other materials that I have produced for the lesson.
Thanks.
My email addy is [email protected] if you would have any questions.
The script is:
Clerk: Hello, Welcome to the Beachside Inn. How may I help you?
Guest: Id like a room, please
Clerk: Would you prefer a single or a double?
Guest: A double, please. How much is that?
Clerk: Its $145.00 a night. How many nights will you be staying?
Guest: Just tonight.
Clerk: OK. One night comes to $145.00 plus tax. May I have your name please?
Guest: Yes, it is Matt Dancing.
Clerk: Ok, Your room number is 505, enjoy your stay.
Guest: Thank you for your help checking in. |

Just read it yourself and change your voice via software. Pitch it up or down, add some noise and viola! It's a different person. Do an accent if you feel really nuts. |

Yes, the thought crossed my mind. However, this is for my middle school girls. They act a little goofy with me. I only see a class once every three weeks. Today I reached up to turn on the overhead projector mounted on the ceiling and it took up 5 minutes of class time for them to get over it and settle down. I would like to get a recording that would not distract them from doing the activity. |
