Does anyone know of a link that will explain the Korean health plan in detail? I was wondering what all it covered and whether to get some suplimental insurance from here in the states. I have the names of a few providers, but if anyone can reccomend some, that would be great.

http://www.nhic.or.kr/wbe/nation/nation05.html (Insurance benefits)

If you use health insurance from the United States you will pay full costs for medical services in Korea. You have to send receipts for medical services rendered to your insurance company in the US, and they would refund you according to the benefits. Check with the insurance company on their policies regarding foreign coverage. Medical services are extremely cheap in Korea. If you take medicine, then bring a year supply over. You will have to be enrolled in the NHIP as of January 2006. If a boss says as well as a recruiter says otherwise, they are lying.
