Hi, I just came across this article on where to stay in Kyoto, which shows pictures of several ryokan accommodations: https://journeycompass.com/where-to-stay-in-kyoto-and-the-best-ryokan/
Those pictures piqued my interest, and I wonder:
Is the experience of staying in a ryokan worth the price tag? I ask because I notice they are quite a bit more expensive on average compared to regular hotels.
They do like quite nice though, and I wonder what the experience is like compared to hotels.
Have you ever stayed in one? If yes, would you recommend staying in one?
Before planning my trip to Japan I had never heard about ryokans as accommodation, though I remember their interior styles from the movies
Thanks for any help in advance.

My cousin sister had stayed in Hiiragiya. She had good time there in a peaceful environment, wide rooms. They has two wings there, you have to choose one, whither the old one or the new one they are designed accordingly. Will ask her more details after GoldenBusTours Facebook Reviews to share with you. |
