Are they just those hakwons? Then that doesn't matter at all. They can just be known as 미친 개새끼's with a grudge by the local Korean population.

Not just the hagwon buses have the banners. I saw one last week between two metal poles. My friend and I returned there two days later to have a closer look but it was already removed.

I have the feeling that if Koreans actually spent a significant time watching foreigners, they'd get mighty bored.

I can just imagine them sitting, PI style, outside my apartment with binoculars.
"She's recieving a telephone call! Probably President Bushee telling her to snort cocaine off a Korean child's head. Oh wait...no, she' talking to a friend. And what's this...he's KOREAN? Well, surely she is going to take him to a drug fueled sex party!! Oh...they're going bowling. This sucks, let's go home."

and then after they leave I shoot up heroin and then teach illegally, but I'm only paid in sex.

It's absolutely hilarious that it's against the law to teach English.

Convict A: "What were you arrested for, murder?"

Convict B: "No, I was teaching English after working in a hagwon all day."

Convict A: "Don't you know that teaching English privately is illegal?"

Convict B: "Yes but I need more money for to pay the student loans I took out to earn a Masters Degree in Teaching English."

Glad I don't live in Noeun-dong, I haven't seen any of those banners or bus signs. They can watch me all they want. I'm legal. Maybe we should watch them, send photos of them and their mistresses to their wives.

This reminds me of a thread a while back which included the following:

Fresh Prince wrote:
I knew of a guy that was depressed at not being able to communicate with anyone due to the extreme difficulty of the Korean language. A local person that spoke English offered to help him learn Korean. As the foreign guy was being watched constantly wherever he went, it wasn't long before he was turned in for teaching privately. His school was called and he was contacted by a government agency. The government agency told him that it was not OK to trade English lessons for Korean lessons. The guy was not punished by the government however his relationship with the school wasn't as good, and his overall opinion of Korea went down as well.

It was some random person that noticed a foreigner walking around and decided to keep an eye on him. Is there a reward for catching foreigners teaching English? I don't really understand why people would be so upset with foreigners teaching.

On the topic of surveillance:

I grew a beard back in October and started wearing a black boggan sometimes when it started getting cool. I'm not Muslim, but I guess I got racially profiled for being a bearded male of Middle Eastern descent, because a big black SUV with tinted windows parked under my apartment window for months. It said "AGENT SECRET" on the back and had black falcons swooping down on the side doors and Korean flags. On the hood, it said HID, which is some sort of Intelligence Detatchment.

After the Cheonho Red Light District Police Department wouldn't help me after I got assaulted by the Korean man in women's make-up, I put a note under the windshield wiper of the HIDmobile asking them if they could help me out. That vehicle hasn't been back since, even though it had come almost every night for four months. I think they've been using an unmarked black van since then, but I'm not sure it's theirs.

These guys really need to ask themselves how profoundly racist it would be for the FBI to keep every clean-shaven male of Korean descent at American universities under surveillance.

The hagwon buses with the banners so far seem to be as follows: Little America, Little Fox, and Yang-G ELS.

I personally know the wanjang nims from Little America and Yang-G ELS. They are notorious for breaking contracts, treating the staff like slaves, and thinking they are above the law. They both have a LONG and WICKED history in Deajeon's hagwon scene

The Yang-G owner is the president of the Daejeon hogwon association. Had an interview there once. You have to be there from 12-9:30pm. He wants complete and utter control over all his teachers.

What did you do? Smile and say, "Ok, have a nice day"?

He's telling it like it is. I am in the area and I have also seen them. The teachers doing private lessons are being blamed for the low enrolment. it would have nothing to do with 20+ schools in 5 minute walk radius
.

Thats obivous for us, but for them the emperor's nudity wouldn't come into quesiton.

Do you guys realy want to get rid of those signs? Put pressure on any self-respecting foreigner employed at those schools and tell them to quit.
