1. Description The Division of English at Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies is seeking native speakers who are eager to join our program. Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies shares a campus with HUFS and is located in Dongdaemun-gu.
2. Position Full Time Lecturer of English starting from March 1, 2010
3. Qualifications Master's Degree required; majors related to English, Linguistics, or TESOL preferred; PhD preferred
4. Duties
1) 9 hours (maximum) of teaching online English courses per week (9 hours = 3 courses
2) Weekly offline Saturday class (3 hours) on campus
3) 12 office hours per week scheduled over 3 days, during which you may be asked to perform the following tasks:
* Editing and proofreading course materials, research papers, exams, and university documents
* Video and audio recordings
* Creating course materials
* Video or audio chatting/teaching
5. Terms of contract, Compensation, and Benefits
1) Annual contract (can be renewed)
2) Starting salary: 2.6 million monthly for Master's degree with no experience (includes housing allowance); Starting pay of 3 mil. for PhD holders
3) Health Insurance
4) Severance Pay
5) Pension Plan
6) Summer and Winter Vacation (approximately 6 weeks each)

2) A cover letter
3) A copy of your passport
4) Two letters of recommendation

Noticed the practical English department are hiring now at the Yongin campus.
2.26 million won per month. Only those with a masters degree and 2 years or more teaching experience at university level need apply.

2.26 for a terrible position offered only to those who have an MA and two years university experience is indeed a joke. The vacation seems nice, but there's no mention of housing, so it comes down to 1.76. |
