Immigrations has a website that you can post questions on. The thing is, they almost never answer the questions. I thought this post was very interesting:

Please, look into what is happening now at Sokcho ferry terminal. There can be a trouble. People (illegal workers from Russia) are getting kind of hysterical. They cannot leave the country by the Nov.15, though they have been waiting in Sokcho for days. They *suspect* that for some strange reason the ferry company does not want to sell them tickets. They also have threatened to block roads or do other things to protest what they see as "suspicious" activity (or inactivity, whatever) of the ferry company and immigration authorities. They say they were told, that if they leave after the Nov. 15 they have to pay penalties. Please look into this situation as soon as possible.

"Derreked" is a term that Korean women have created out of my name.

It is now the term used by Koreans to describe a very sexy/gorgeous/cool ESL teacher who gets all of the girls.

When a Korean woman is in love with a Western man so much, and will do anything to get him, and they guy still refuses her -- she has been "Derreked".

Wink

Getting "derreked" is a bit of an inside joke on the forum. Derrek has had some bad luck in Korea. He dated a co-worker who not only dumped him, but later revealed that she had had a Korean fiance the entire time. He accepted a high-paying job with a software company only to have it go out of business before he even started. He also got busted by immgration after teaching for 2 days on a tourist visa while waiting for his E2 to be processed.

In other words, getting "derreked" means to get screwed over.

Yeah... but she wasn't the one who revealed it to me. Her fiance, who read her e-mails (and one from me), revealed it to me in an angry letter.
