I'm guessing you're at the western end of Seoul... in which case you've got quite a few options.
Bucheon SK (very crap, finished bottom of the K-league) play at the Bucheon Sports Complex - closest subway stop is Sosa on the dark blue line. From there you can catch a bus or walk to the ground (15 minutes)
Anyang LG Cheetahs (mid-table underachievers) play at the Anyang Sports Complex - you can get off at either Anyang (dark blue subway line) or Beomgye (light blue, number 4 line) and either get a bus or taxi to the stadium.
Suwon Samsung Bluewings (3rd for 2 seasons in a row, former Asian champions and my team) play at the Suwon World Cup stadium - go to either Suwon or Hwaseo station (dark blue line) and take a bus.
From 2004, Incheon United will join the K-league, and they will play at the Incheon World Cup Stadium (Munhak Sports Complex stop on the Incheon line).
Those are the teams out to the west side of Seoul. If you wanted to make the cross-city journey, you could follow the reigning Champions of the last 3 years Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma, who play at Seongnam stadium. To get there, go to Moran station (Bundang line) and it's a 5~10 minute walk.
I'd heartily suggest being a Suwon supporter, but then... I'm biased |

If you're lucky Holyjoe will come along and give you a breakdown of the K-league. He's the resident expert.
I kind of follow Seongnam because that's where I've lived in Korea 2 out of 3 years.
Luckily enough, they happen to be the Man. Utd of Korea!!!
(don't get me wrong. I'm a Liverpool fan really) |

Liverpool's season is becoming like a 10 month nightmare!! I'm hoping, as a last throw of the dice, Houllier will spend heavily in January and do what Chelsea have done. Buy in proven quality.
I just checked the SPL table ( first time in months). Aberdeen second from bottom.......
That's what you get for being brave enough to follow a non-old firm team!! |

Aye well, if it all goes Pete Tong at Anfield then you can always bring in Martin O'Neill
Aberdeen were actually 1-0 up on Liverpool during a pre-season friendly back in August. For some reason ( ) the final score ( ) escapes me ( ) |

Aberdeen were hard done by, it was well known at the time.
I'll be honest, I hope Houllier gets the dunt simply because I want that gibbering fool O'Neil out of the SPL.
All hail the Dons. |

Let's say Houllier does get the boot.....
Now that Ferguson has re-signed for Utd it's now possible that O'Neil would consider the Liverpool job. I think he was holding out for Ferguson to retire.
Liverpool would seem his best option IF he wanted to leave the SPL. |

no way dude. building that new stadium. liverpool have got no money!!! DOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
just then on the bbc it said cisse may come (how long has this been going on for?!?)
have you heard why dudek and henchoz have not been getting a game? henchoz has been 'injured' of course, but apart from that? henchoz has been knobbing dudek's wife! that's the goss on the streets of liverpool at the moment. it all came to a head on the training field, they ended up fighting and houllier decides that if they are going to fight then they are not going to play. believe it if you want to.
o'neill may come but that rumour has been flying round for ages too.
i know nothing about k-league. sorry ed. |

Ha hathat's classic about Dudek and henchoz. Bet you wish it was Heskey and Smicer instead, or Diao and Cheyrou. |

I don't know that Ilsan have a club or will have in the future - there's certainly not been any news about it.
There is a K-2 league, kind of 2nd Division but without any promotion/relegation (yet) to the K-league. These are the teams:
Goyang Kookmin (north-west of Seoul, on the orange line)
Icheon Sangmu (a military team)
Gangneung City (Gangwon-do)
Seosan Citizen
Suwon City
Korea Hydraulic Nuclear Power (play in Daejeon, might be up for a name change!)
Korea National Railroad (play in Incheon)
Uijeongbu Hummel (Uijeongbu, north-east of Seoul on the dark blue line)
Ulsan Mipo Dockyard
There was a Seoul City Hall team that played at the Sang-am World Cup stadium, but they folded because the Seoul government wasn't willing to fork out the required money to keep it going.
Anyang has a pretty large foreign contingent of fans, so if you go to games there then there are a fair few other folk to watch with.
If you're interested, then check out the Busan Icons Messageboard which is actually more of a general English language K-league website (don't let the crap Busan attachment put you off!)
Can't help you too much on the Baseball front - the season's over until the warm weather starts up, and I wasn't really too much of a fan. I'll go to the odd game, but it's just not cricket
K-league season should start again in March, though there'll probably be some pre-season friendlies and tournaments around February. |
