Do a search for ipod on http://www.enuri.com
It's all in Korean, but you should be able out to figure out '40G' and the price The 40G one is selling for 682,000 at the moment, 10G for 365,000 won. You can order it online (get a Korean to help you) or go to Yongsan or Technomart and try to get the same or even lower price. |

I was looking at them the other day at Technomart.
They have 10gb, 15gb and 20gb ones for sale there.
Prices started in the 300,000 won range and the 20gb one was like 550,000 won.
Think 8th floor of technomart has the apple booth, go check it out
For 550,000 I'd rather buy an IEEE 1394 external drive that is like 80GB and fast. |

Interestingly, Apple just announced price cuts on their IPOD. Good timing. |

You could buy at least two for that price and have change left over. |

For the record, I checked them out at the apple store in Ginza the other day.
52 000 JPY, so add 5% tax and convert, and see how things add up.
I nearly walked out with one of them.. :D
jae. |

Be warned though. As much as I like Apple, Apple Korea really drags their collective behind on new stuff.
For instance, as of the MacWorld Expo (held this week in San Francisco), the low-end iPod (full-size, not the new iPod mini) is now 15GB, not 10GB. http://www.applestore.co.kr/NewiPod.html still has the 10GB listed as the low-end model.
Also, the iPod mini won't be available outside the US until April. Expect to wait even longer for them to reach Korea. The 15" Aluminum PowerBook just got here, and it was introduced last October. (worldwide release).
Heck, wait a little while and you might be able to pick up an HP branded iPod (same device, just in HP blue and with an HP logo) even cheaper than an Apple one. (No official word on the HPiPod pricing yet.) |

I'm going home on the January 22 and will return to Korea about a month later. If any of you want to make some kind of an arrangement for iPods let me know. |

Does the I-pod work with any computer or only a mac?
What's the word on other portable mp3 players? |
