I think 5Kg might be the smallest you'll get.

Buy the Way(tm), do you like rice?

I like rice. It's nice.

ShockedI suggest you go to one of the hundred thousand million billion gazillion small "sidewalk" shops where it is sold in bulk and get as little or as much as you want. Very Happy

Yes, check the local market... it's also a good chance to get other things to cook in with your rice (for "oh-gook-bap"), especially black beans, millet (cho), red rice and so on... it'll add some variety to your rice.

don't think i'm stupid. i've been to carrefour near world cup stadium with my korean girlfriend so she was able to ask the assistants. lots of department stores too. all i've been able to get are those little pots that you boil and they taste okay, but just not as goos as proper rice.

anyway, thanks so far.

Glad you liked my idea. Later I was worried I might have sounded like I was making a "snot head" comment. But actually, it took me a lot of courage to start buying stuff that was not prepackaged with a price. I was not worried it was contaminated, usually that stuff looks better, and was not worried about being cheated on price. I think I just did not want to look stupid for not understanding the price because nothing was posted or else after being measured and in METRIC too, I would have no idea how much it was and numbers are the hardest part in a langauge. So, I always (no mater what product) got what would be less than 10,000 won in the store, and gave them a 10,000 won note. I know they never cheated me, I think I always get back so much change that is it cheeper than in a big store, plus better quality.
