I heard that Derby is actually pronounced "dahh-bee." Is that correct?

I'm from the East Midlands. My family all live in Derby, Nottingham or Leicester area. I am from Lincs myself and also spent a few years living in Leicester.

I'm not from around there, but I've always wanted to go to Melton Mowbray. Anyone know if it's possible to take a tour of the pork pie factory and get some freebies?
