Can anybody reccommend some sites for booking cheap flights to Jeju, preferably from Daegu but I don't mind travelling to Busan or wherever if it would be worth my while.
Also is flying the way to go? I understand that you can take the boat down there aswell, how does it compare pricewise and overall hassle?
Thanks for any input! |

You can book flights through expedia or the other ticket booking sites, and I think it's about $120 return from Daegu. I paid about $115 with Air Busan from Gimhae (Busan). Here's their website if you're interested.

Probably the only advantage for you in leaving from Busan would be more flexibility as there are a lot more flights to Jeju out of Gimhae than Daegu. |

Jejuair seems to have pretty pricey seats for April/May.
A friend of mine flew mid-summer last year for 100,000 won round trip.
Anyone think it would be better to wait for last minute deals? |

Cheap airlines to Jeju (May not all be from Busan, though).
www.eastarjet.com
www.twayair.com
www.jinair.com
en.jejuair.net
en.airbusan.com
Some of these airlines have super cheap tickets to Jeju if you book in advance online. I think cheapest I've ever seen was 19,000 (one-way). |

The Busan-Jeju ferry takes you there overnight, so it's not fast but then you wouldn't have to pay for a minbak that night. I hear the ferry is huge so it is pretty stable and not too rocky. If you get the cheap tickets make sure you bring a mat to sleep on as you'll just be on the floor with a bunch of other people in a room. |

Good luck getting a flight to Jeju. Many flights for this summer are already sold out. |

No. That will not access the cheap domestic airlines, it seems to only get Korean Air and Asiana. They are both expensive in comparison to the cheapie domestic ones. Probable reason for this is that the cheapie airlines are in Korean and not accessible to those English sites.
You don't need a travel agent to get tickets to Jeju. If you're able to, try one of the airline website's I mentioned above to book a ticket.
Or alternatively, just show up that day at Gimpo airport and see what you can get. Seriously. Unless it's the super busy tourist season from the end of July into August, Seolnal or Chuseok, I almost never booked in advance and would just show up at the airport and buy a ticket right there. Never had a problem and didn't have to pay full price. More like 34,000 won. I lived on Jeju and would do this whenever I was travelling to or from Seoul.
The different airlines will have electronic sign boards above their desks showing flights available and how much they are. Check out a few of them, or ask the price before deciding. There are a tonne of flights to Jeju everyday, so it is not to difficult to get a ticket the day of.
Even to Busan you should have some options and I see them advertising the day of at the airport.
However, if you want to fly to Jeju from a more obscure place like Wonju or Yeosu, they don't have many flights so in that case you may want to book in advance. Even then I flew Wonju-Jeju by buying the ticket that day and it wasn't a problem.
Good luck! |

Just thought, though, that since I lived on Jeju I would be traveling the other way in comparison to those who were coming to Jeju. So maybe it would be a little different.
If you search online on the cheaper airlines and find tickets for sale, buy aren't able to buy them online for some reason, you could always go to the airport and buy them there a few weeks before. |

Is AirBusan legit? I'm always sketched out by websites other than Kangsan, but it looks like I could get a round trip ticket to Jeju from Busan for 150,000. I'd have to travel from Anyang to Busan though which sucks but I can't seem to find any alternative. I just want to make sure it's a legitimate website. Thanks. |

I've been trying to use Kangsan but there website isn't working. I live in Anyang so I'd like to fly out of Incheon, but I wouldn't be opposed to getting down to Busan and flying from there. |

Asiana has flights from Incheon to Jeju I think only twice a week.
Air Busan, Jin Air, Jeju Air, and T'way are all legitimate airlines and I've flown with all of them at some point in time.
If you live in Anyang, why not fly out of Gimpo? That's were the majority of flights to Jeju fly out from. |
