1600 won for a tall boy of excellent Dutch Grolsch lager. While supplies last.
Perfect way to start your semester or continue your Korean existence.

You're welcome. Very Happy

Grolsch is great but the other cheap foreign beers Emart sells are meh, like Oettinger and a few other no-name German or Belgian brands.

On regular days, the black 5,0% (generic German stuff) is the best value for money, at 1500-something. Oettinger is malt liquor, fortified beer, or some crapp. Stay away.

Even the bottom of the barrel, German hobo beer is a million miles better than any K beer.

Can you recommend a good Japanese beer? I've only ever tried the ones commonly available in the stores here, like Asahi, Kirin, Suntory etc and have found them all distinctly underwhelming.

Pabst Blue Ribbon is the best beer of all time. A distant second would be Meister Brau. Next in line, Milwaukee's Best.
