This game is amazing!
It is ok to buy the Korean version. When you install it, it asks if you want to play the game in English, Korean, or Chinese. |

I can play it on my crappy old first-generation iBook. But my friends with WIndows laptops have had a lot of trouble getting it to work at all, and then getting it to work at a speed that allows you to play without falling asleep.
My sister got SIMS 2 and it sounds like it's really awesome! |

Went to gamespy.com and downloaded the fifteen or so videos they have there. Some are hilarious. Looks like an interesting game and I'll be looking out for one on the shelves somewhere. Thanks for the tip that it comes in English.
What we need next is a Sims/Doom fusion - you know where you create demons with romantic aspirations and you have to create sims who go round blasting them out before they administer a fatal French kiss on someone... |

You need at least 3.5 GB hard drive space and 512 MB RAM. It takes a lot but is worth it. I have 1024MB RAM and it still runs slowly sometimes with this game.

Remember, the box is still in Korean. It is the Korean version and the instructions are in Korean, but the game can be installed in English and playing the game is in English. You can read instructions during the game so you don't actually need the book.
beware: the game is addictive. I already have two kids and a pretty wife, but I think she wants to have an affair with the kids' nanny.
cheat code: push Ctrl + Shifrt + C at the same time
in the box type: motherlode (for 50,000 sims)
aging off (to stop the aging because they can get old and die) |

I lost my whole weekend to the game.
I cannot figure out how to make the sims happy with the gardens I make. The environment bar is always in red. The gardener never does a good job pulling weeds or watering the plants. I fired him and hired the other one, but she also does a bad job. Anyone know what's wrong? |

What are you having trouble with? Maybe we can work through it together. I played the first game a lot. I think I got this one down except for the environment stuff. If you have many problems, you can use a cheat code to get money. Otherwise you have to get a job right away or you will run out of money and have no food.
Just think about real life and what you need to do. I think they do everything except laundry in this game. You need to eat, shower, use the toilet, watch t.v., talk to your wife/husband and friends, etc. If you have a baby, you have to feed it, change the diapers, potty train it, teach it to walk, help him or her with homework, etc. If you need clothes, call a taxi and go to the store and buy some. Check your refridgerator to see if you need groceries, and if you do, go to the supermarket, or get on the phone and have the groceries delievered if you can afford it. |

well for one thing the game moves too fast for me to keep up with... i created a 4 person family at first and i had a REALLY hard time keeping them happy... i ended up letting the house catch fire and the wife died!! atually that was kinda funny watching them freak out and not do anything about it even when i told them to.... so i decided to start over with just a couple.. and i'm still having a hard time achieving their goals... i think its just that time passes too quickly for me to keep up with... like the husband has a goal to make "woohoo" in public.... i can barely get them to do it at home!! how am i gonna make them do it in public??? |

First, put the game on slow speed. There are three speeds.
It is difficult to control 4 people at one time. That takes practice. Make sure the autonomy control is on. If you tell them nothing, they will generally do what the need, but you must watch them.
To prevent the house from burning down, place a fire alarm near each stove and fireplace. If a fire erupts, the firemen will automatically come. If not, call the fire department. |

I cannot see the game now, but somewhere near the bottom left there is a clock. I think under the clock there are four settings: pause, slow, regular, and fast.
When you do learn the game, it really is a lot of fun and you won't get bored because there are so many things to do. If you get old and die, just continue on with your kids. |
